Mr.Twister
This book furthered my appreciation for the flies of Scotland. It could have been improved with a little more detail in regards to the listing of the photographs. I appreciate the notes with each fly recipe as a fly is more than just a way to catch fish. A fly is also the person who tied it and created it in the first place. All in all I gave the book five stars because I understand how involved and complicated the procedure of collecting and selecting which flies to include in an anthology and the author has succeeded in fulfilling this task.

This is a terrific book; the illustrations are beautiful and the material lists and tying instructions are very good. The vendor shipped promptly and the book arrived in excellent condition; could not ask for a better transaction.

Stan Headley has written an invaluable book for fly tiers interested in going beyond Adamses, BWOs, and the patterns of the standard American repertoire. His descriptions are enlightening and entertaining as well as helpful. If this book again becomes available, grab it!

What a fabulous book for reference.
Stan has a formidable range of talents as a designer of flies, fishing expert, and all round nice guy to know.
He ties flies extremely well and has time for everyone.
This surely is a benchmark reference book for serious anglers of our generation.Go on and buy the book..the best investment you will make.By the way, in comparison to the cost of tackle, and good fishing beats, lochs etc.....where you have to do all the guessing, this will make all these costs seem worthwhile and you shouldn't go home empty handed.Tight Lines
