Breaking Through: The Turning Point of Biblical Counseling The turning point is crucial because true Christian change always involves a closer approximation of the thoughts and the life of the counselee to the thoughts and the ways of God as these are set forth in the Bible. Finishing Well: The Termination of Biblical Counseling This final book has to do with closing out a series of counseling sessions--how you know when to do so, how you do it, how you can make certain that you have done the right thing, and how you may follow up.

I had to get this book for a class, and I am so glad I did! It is an invaluable resource for the counselor. It gave clear and concise and practical tools for those critical stages. It is an easy read, and one that I will go back to again and again. This is a must-have for first time counselors and seasoned veterans alike.

This book did a tremendous job of laying out the different stages of bibical counseling and deserves to be read more than once. It is an excellent tool in structuring yourself and improving your counseling. However, it is more of a technical read and as such, is not nearly as enjoyable to just sit and read casually. Personal opinion of course.
