In addressing these issues, the American TFP is exercising a right recognized by the Code of Canon Law10 and an impera-tive duty of conscience as faithful sons of the Church. Christ founded His Church upon Peter and the Apostles. However, as Saint Paul made clear to the Corinthians,11 the Church does not belong to anyone other than to Christ Himself.
