My discovery of Kristen Heitzmann began with "Secrets", then the next two .

My discovery of Kristen Heitzmann began with "Secrets", then the next two in that series, and then the stories of the Rose Legacy. I just love when a Christian novelist can write murder mysteries with real feeling and a powerful story. And yet keep it clean and concise. Kristen brings to the murder mystery world what Christ brings to His people! Redemption and Hope!. The crisp and clear point of view changes only enhance this novel, giving you a peek into the hearts and minds of this colorful cast of characters that seem so real in all of their victories and struggles, quirks and normalities. You might even discover that the crimes being committed are not at all what you thought.

An insatiable force  . But this book is also a mystery thriller. Someone is mutilating animals, but in a surgical kind of way. There's a meth lab that needs finding as well. Indivisible by Kristen Heitzmann was a very pleasant surprise, a book in my go-to genre of Christian suspense, but a step above.

Kristen Does it Again! By Thriftbooks. com User, May 18, 2010. A very enjoyable read! 0.

The Christian Science Center is a 1. -acre (. ha) site on the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Huntington Avenue in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. A popular tourist attraction, the center is owned by the Church of Christ, Scientist (the Christian Science church), which refers to it as Christian Science Plaza. 1 The complex, including most of the landscape was designated as a Boston Landmark by the Boston Landmarks Commission in 2011.

Something sinister is happening in the mountain community of Redford, Colorado. Battling his own personal demons, Police Chief Jonah Westfall knows the dark side of life and has committed himself to eradicating it. When a pair of raccoons are found mutilated, Jonah investigates the gruesome act right away in hopes that he can stop the twisted behavior before it escalates.

Jonah's investigation forces him to involve candle maker Tia Monroe, a childhood friend who refuses to let him hurt anyone she loves again, veterinarian Liz Rainier, who is new to town, and Piper, the young woman running the local bakery. Forever haunted by his own past, Jonah vows to protect Redford and the people he cares about. But he can't penetrate every wound or secret -- especially one fueled by love and guilt teetering on madness.

I'm really enjoying this series! But I am somewhat disturbed by the negative responses. There is nothing in this novel that does not appear in Kristens' previous work. I even read it again to see why these people may have reacted this way. Have we forgotten the scene in her second novel involving Montys' horse? Perhaps Christians today have succumed to politically correct thinking, which I think is self absorbed, weak and sad. I am really glad that the responses to this novel have been mostly positive. All that aside --- Thanks again Kristin for another engaging novel showing how our faith, trust and ability to respond and react to Gods' Word and His internal guidance lead to success and contentment!! Can't wait for the next one!

If this were the first novel I had read by Kristen Heitzmann, I may have seen "Indivisible" as
overly imaginative but interesting, I may have taken it at face value; however, this is the seventh
novel, and I know that every incident has a deeper meaning that calls for pondering. My discovery of Kristen
Heitzmann began with "Secrets", then the next two in that series, and then the stories
of the Rose Legacy. I wish I had the gift of putting into words the depth and breadth of Kristen
Heitzmann's feminine genius. She explores the effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, its variable
causes, and its crippling effects on human relationships like no other writer. Her characters' faith journeys are
ecumenical, always placing the search for a personal trusting relationship with Jesus as the central lifeline of
souls, in the same spirit that Blessed Pope John Paul II, Pope Emeritus Benedict, and Pope Francis have been seeking
to convey to the people. She imitates Jesus in weaving the stories of redemption in modern day
parables. Well, even the 1800's are modern days compared to the history of Christendom. Her
stories illustrate how no one is beyond the reach of redemption; how grace is far more powerful than
evil, and that it is not only possible to overcome evil with good, but this is the call, overcoming evil with
good is what God does in us and through us when we sincerely seek the Divine and Merciful Connection
with Him. This is not escapism literature; it has the power to lay open honest recognition of the responsibilities and consequences of free will, and how deeply lives are intertwined. Her stories bring to light the difference between destructive
self-inflicted punishment and redemptive suffering, the first being self deception and the second, a quest for truth.
I don't know how to end this review. In the Rose Legacy, Alan tells Quillan that wooing his wife is a daily enterprise;
we are taught that conversion of heart, mind and soul, is also a daily enterprise. The redemptive story continues on a daily basis; in "Indivisible", it has quite a punch. I pray that God will inspire Kristen to continue with her writing, The Holy Spirit to whom she attributes all honor and glory, has given her a great and worthy gift.

What a phenomenal read! Kept me going into the late nights with the moon! Shocking and page turning are a mere form of a description as to the power and pull of this book! Bringing in the God factor was the thirst quencher for me! I just love when a Christian novelist can write murder mysteries with real feeling and a powerful story. And yet keep it clean and concise. Kristen brings to the murder mystery world what Christ brings to His people! Redemption and Hope! .

from earth
I first "met" Kristen Heitzmann by traveling through her historical fiction novels Honor's Pledge (Rocky Mountain Legacy #1) (Book 1) and The Rose Legacy/Sweet Boundless/The Tender Vine (Diamond of the Rockies 1-3). After devouring all of those, I was determined to read everything she had written and over a decade later, that determination has not waned!

It is a bit unusual to discover an author who can write incredible historical fiction and also powerfully deliver on a psychological thriller, but Heitzmann has pulled this off (many times over!) with finesse and great aplomb.

I read Indivisible when it first came out and the characters and story (protagonists and antagonists both) still seem to be wound around my heart. What makes this story intriguing to me is the depth of the characters, the unique and complex relationships, the spellbinding plot lines, and the troubling findings in this small mountain town that make one wonder whether the perpetrator is a sadistic fiend or just one whose mind has become tangled irrevocably.

The crisp and clear point of view changes only enhance this novel, giving you a peek into the hearts and minds of this colorful cast of characters that seem so real in all of their victories and struggles, quirks and normalities. You might even discover that the crimes being committed are not at all what you thought. Just when you think you've got it all figured out, you realize you haven't.

As a writer myself, Heitzmann is one of those authors whose books have actually been my teachers. I highly recommend checking her books out. Whether you dive in for the thrillers or prefer the wealth of historical fiction, you'll be on the edge of your seat, anxious for the next volume.
