Bailey is very excited about the school trip to the Museum of Natural History.

Bailey is very excited about the school trip to the Museum of Natural History. After all, he loves to dig up bones even more than an archeologist! And besides bones, there's lots of fun to be had with tepees, totem poles, and dinosaur skeletons. Bailey's classmates never know what will happen next: maybe that's why the museum guard becomes Bailey's special partner. Bliss's student-filled scenes recall the adventures of Ms. Frizzle's crew, with Bailey asking all the good questions.

My 3 1/2-year-old daughter wants me to read this book about four times a day. It's cute and funny, and I love that the children (with Bailey of course) are going on a field trip to the Museum of Natural History. It's a great intro to museums--now my daughter is constantly asking when we can go to a museum. It's also a funny story, and a sweet story of friendship, and it's structured in a comforting way--they get to the museum, see things, have lunch, see more, and then say good-bye and then the now sleeping Bailey rides home happily on the bus. I love this story! It's great for adults and children.

School-age children and parents alike will enjoy this tale of a field trip to a museum in Manhattan. We go to harrybliss.com for the author's excellent daily cartoons as well.

Bailey the dog is excited to head out to the Natural Science museum on a school field trip. He's a bit naughty (for example, going to chew on a dinosaur bone!) but pulls himself together by the end of the story and saves the day by sniffing out the rest of the group when they get lost.

The thing that struck me the most about this book was that all the characters loved to read! All the kids are reading graphic novels and comic books on the bus ride. Even the museum guard whips out a book about how to guard things during his lunch break. Easy to read with large illustrations and clear speech bubbles, this is a nice selection for kids who aren't quite ready for graphic novels yet.

I had already fallen in love with Bailey after the first Bailey book but this book sealed the deal. Not only is it a great way to get kids interested in Museums but it helps to show that we all make mistakes, some big, some small, but are still worthy of love.

My son has requested me to read him Bailey at the Museum every night since we got it. The illustration are pure Harry Bliss, and, as with all his books, there are some really clever gags inserted for the grown ups.

Hope they Bailey books keep coming.

A simple and lovable picture book with a sweet message about acceptance - plus, it's loaded with some very witty asides by New Yorker artist Bliss - a welcome follow-up to the first Bailey - my kids adore Bailey.

Just what was promised!
