The reason I don't like this one as much is rather silly I suppose, but there is a picture of a really cute baby in a ballet outfit and she is picking her nose. My 1 year old can already point to her nose, but I'd rather her not develop a habit of picking her nose to get laughs.

UGC Certified Member. Baby Colors by Rachael Hale board book. of the baby’s faces and now that he is learning colors this book has really helped him. He really loves fruit and one of the babies is holding a banana while another one is holding an orange. He immediately points to the orange and says orange and points to the banana and says banana. It helps that that is the color for that page so I can teach him that bananas are take and oranges are orange. It has great word association since the colors are of items that really interest him. The rhyming is very smooth flowing and gentle on the ears which really makes it fun to read.

My 11 week old loves looking at the baby faces in this book. He stares at each one for several seconds, then he smiles really big. The only thing I don't care for is how photoshopped these babies are. Their eyes are distorted to appear larger. Their mouths and eyebrows are deeply saturated and their skin is even airbrushed in a most amateur way. It gets me thinking about what babies from outer space would look like.
I do like the use of color.

Bought this because baby likes "Baby's Best Friend." This is a very cute book to teach colors. Rhyming text and cute photos. And includes lots of colors not often seen in books (like grey). We have several color books (this plus "Diving for Colors in Hawaii," "Colors of the Wine Country," and "Brown Bear Brown Bear What do You See?") By 13 months baby knew her colors and would hand me the red flower or the green toy upon request.
We also have "Mouse Paint" which baby is not at all interested in.

My eleven-month old has really enjoyed this book lately. The "orange" baby makes him laugh, and he'll happily sit through the whole book, sometimes even asks for it again. He's usually very active so getting him to sit for a book is not always easy. The only photo I don't like is the "purple" baby. The purple is so light it's almost grey, and that baby's face doesn't look quite real, although maybe it is. Anyway, nice book, cute photos, baby likes it!

I love this book. I first got it from the library and it quickly became my 1 1/2 year old's favorite book. Great photos, good rhymes, right amount of words/page, and rich colors. My 4 year old quickly memorized the pages and now likes to "read" it to his little brother. This would be a great new baby or first birthday gift, and it's now one of my go-to's for baby showers.

My son (almost 5 months) had a huge smile on his face when I read him this book the first time. He loves looking at other babies. There is one baby that is pretty obviously photo-shopped (I think purple baby), and looks a little creepy, but the rest are beautiful and my son doesn't seem to mind! If your baby loves looking at other babies like mine, get them this book.

Rachael Hale makes the very best baby face books, hands down. We have 3 of them and probably read them (at my toddler's request) five or more times per day. He even tries to imitate the babies on the page. I buy them for friends' babies now.

I purchased this for my daughter when she was just a few weeks old. I would just hold her and read to her. As she got older, I would always use it during tummy time time to keep her busy. She would always get excited when we would get to orange page...or as we called it, "Orange Slice Baby".
She is now a year old and still loves this book. It is the only book that she will sit completely still for. She gets so excited when we read it to her. We actually had to order a new book because we had worn the pages of book.
This is a "must have"!! It is too cute!!

Love this book for baby gifts. The babies love to look at the faces. Adorable!
