This package suppose to come with a code but there is no code. Really? How are students suppose to do their homework, which is mostly based on audio they don't have access to? This is ridiculous!!!

This is a good book, but does require an extra purchase of CD/DVD to be able to complete all of the activities - I wasn't able to find said accompanying product in a quick search, as there are many different versions of every text & CD, so I just have my students do the written and reading activities and skip the other ones.

Material is necessary to be accompanied by the "Discovering French" audio companion to help with some of the exercises. The additional laminated cards outlining each chapter was very useful.

You can't complete the listening activities without the audio CD which isn't included. So basically only half the book is useful for practice. It would be nice if the audio accompanied the book so you could actually use your purchase in its entirety.

My daughter needed this book for her French class, she was told by her teacher to buy it at amazon. It came fast and the price was ok.

Bought this text book for my daughter who is being tutored by a French teacher. My daughter is 12 but this is the same book the tutor uses in her high school French class. Book is easily understandable and great for the beginner. Book shipped as described in great used condition.
