How could Anne Mazer let Jessy change like this? She has Tinted lip gloss? A cell phone? . First there is a talent show, where Abby does not want to preticipate, but pairs her two best friends, Casey and Hannah together. Then Abby's former bff, Jessica-now Jessy- comes to Abby's town to visit from her father, stepmother,and stepsister's house. Abby relizes thet Jessy has really changed. Jessy carries a cellphone, has a boyfriend and wears miniskirtrs 24/7. In this novel Abby relizes for the first time that some things do change. I would reccomend this book. It was an enjoyable read.

Some Things Never Change book. Also in this book, Abby deals with feelings of jealousy as Hannah spends more and more time with Abby's boy friend (not boyfriend!), Casey.

So I picked it up and went back to my seat and stared reading it and it got more and more interesting I could not put it down.

When Abby's best friend, Jessica, moved away, Abby was beside herself. But time has passed, and the gap Jessica's absence left in Abby's life has been filled by new friends, especially Hannah. Jessica's done a lot of changing, too. She calls herself Jessy now, and instead of baggy overalls, she now wears hip teen clothes. She even has a boyfriend!

Shocking. So shocking.
That's how I felt when I started to read Some Things Never Change. How could Anne Mazer let Jessy change like this? She has Tinted lip gloss? A cell phone? AUBURN HAIR?
Let me summarize this book.
Okay, Abby Hayes's former best friend, Jessy is coming to visit. Abby knows that she's changed, but as I mentioned this earlier, Jessy changed than more than Abby and I thought. Also, Abby's class is having a talent show. Surprisingly, Abby didn't act in the talent show, but her friends did. Also, it seemed like Hannah had no time to spend with Abby and a shocking thing happens between Hannah and Casey, according to Abby, of course.
Btw, at the end of the book, where there's all the advertisements for books and stuff like that, it says that ABBY'S FINALLY GOING TO GRADUATE FROM THE FIFTH GRADE YAY! HOORAY!

I've read the 14th book, and this book is not as ugly as that one but it's NEARLY the same.

I'm a huge fan of "Abby Hayes" books, I just love the books when Abby, Jessica and Natalie were friends and I'm sorry that Jessica had to leave in the 9th book, but in this book was starting to get ugly.

P.S. When I read the 14th and this book, I wonder where Anne Mazer got this crazy ideas.

This is the book where Jessica came to visit, she had forgotten EVERYTHING! She even changed her name to ' Jessy '. Jessy didn't wear overalls and smiley buttons anymore.She wouldn't play soccer with Abby either, she said it was TOO MESSY.'Jessy was now a girl that carried a cell phone, wore mini skirts, lip gloss, EARRINGS......and had a BOY FRIEND! Someone said Jessy was prettier and cooler than Brianna. But I think that she's CRAZIER. To make matters worse, Abby's friends didn't seem to have time for Abby anymore. How will her friendship survive when her friends were changing?

In this book, Abby's friend Jessica, who recently moved to Oregon, comes back for a visit. And, boy, has Jessica changed. She now wears miniskirts and tank tops, chats with her boyfriend on her cell phone, has curly, auburn hair (it used to be straight and brown), and now goes by the name Jessy. Although Jessy is different from the Jessica that Abby was best friends with, Abby learns that, although she is often frustrated with Jessy, Jessy is still a loyal, fun friend. I think that Jessy's changes were pretty realistic. Moving away can definitely change people. This was a fun book to read, and I recommend it to anyone who likes the Abby Hayes series.

First off, ever since I turned eight (now I am nine), I started to hate these books!

Secondly, in one of the books (maybe tenth one?) Abby turns eleven. When it reaches the higher books, all of a sudden she's ten again.

Lastly, A FIFTH GRADER HAVING A BOY FRIEND? WEARING BELLY BUTTON SHIRTS? My dad would hate this book. I'm not allwoed to date till twenty years old and not allwoed to wear belly button shirts. I HATED THIS BOOK!

The old Jessica loved drawing, overalls, and astronomy. Now "Jessy" talks about boys, parties, manicures, and miniskirts. (And,please,don't call me crazy,but I like the new Jessica a bit better,I just really like people who are very girly!)And her friends Hannah and Casey are getting closer because of a talent show,although that part has a better ending. So,in all,the story was kind of sad.

I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about! The same thing happened to me. My best friend moved away, and when I saw her again she was SOOOO different. Plus, who wants to read about characters who never change? BUY THIS BOOK! IT'S THE BEST ONE IN THE SERIES! Trust me, you'll love it.
