Hurricane! (What's it like out?) by. Kris Hirschmann. I thought this was interesting book because it really broke down the terms of what a hurricane means. This book introduces where, why, when, and how often hurricanes occur. I have learned about hurricanes in my previous schooling and know what they are but there are still some facts that were new to me while reading this story. I also liked how this story gave different charts throughout the pages. It really broke down how a hurricane is created and the steps it takes to "power the storm".

Полный и точный перевод текста What's it like being 16? из учебника Spotlight. We spoke to six 16-year-olds from around the world to find out what they and their friends like to do in their free time. Here’s what they had to say. Мы поговорили с шестью 16-летними подростками со всего мира, чтобы выяснить, что они и их друзья любят делать в свободное время. Вот, что им пришлось сказать. Fiona, 16 Galway, Ireland I’ve got lots of friends and we’re all into the same kind of things. We like watching TV, especially comedies and my all-time favourite is Father Ted. We love music too, and I’m really into indie bands like The Bravery and the Arctic Monkeys.
What do you like most about it? I love the travel. I've been all over the world chasing hurricanes. I'm the one who decides whether we fly low through a storm. I don't want to take us into a hurricane that could be particularly nasty. Have you made any sacrifices to do this job? Yes, one big one. It's exciting to end up in different cities and different countries day after day. If you're a meteorologist, you have to love flying. I also love working with top scientists. I've learned so much from them. For me, it's like a classroom in the sky. What's an average day like? There's no such thing as an average day in my job! It all depends on the weather, and you can't control that.
