Like all good pop culture icons, the Peanuts gang have taught us some valuable life lessons since they arrived on the scene in 1950. The cartoon's contemplative style and dark humor give it a timeless appeal. In fact, it might be correct to say that, while kids enjoy Charlie Brown's mistake-ridden adventures, only adults can really appreciate and understand them. How disappointing! I purchased this book to use in the classroom with young children. I didn't like that the characters refer to the "STUPID attorney" or that the teacher is named Miss Tenure. I expected a story about working to achieve a reward, but, instead it seems to deal with stealing and general dishonesty. I won't use this with my students. And really---what children's book repeatedly uses the term, STUPID. unless it is a story about how words hurt people?

These Kindle Peanuts books are a bit on the spendy side, although sometimes they're on sale for $2 which isn't so bad. Being short but cheery, they're great for those times when you just want a bit of light relief in your life.

2nd grade daughter really likes reading these Peanuts books as she has watched the cartoons for awhile now. This is at a good level for early readers.

Unnis
Good story, although I do wonder if Peppermint Patty had the box of stars in her pocket and just took them out. Maybe they were not in the wastebasket as the custodian claimed.

Bulace
Cute little story that keeps the kids happy.
Very well done and the colors looks just right
I really recommend this little book
