I haven't read much so far, but I've read enough to know that this is a superior reference. It is scholarly in tons, but not excessively technical. It is extremely detailed. The TOC is extremely granular so the book is easy to navigate in. The used paperback I have is least 750 pages. It covers all the fifteenth century English kings in depth as well some of the major influences in their reigns or rather that period. This isn't straight biography.

In the WOTR period, he writes of Fortescue, the Fauconbergs, the Neville marriages, to give you an idea of the detail.

Sorry I can't give more detail yet, but on the paperback cover the Daily Telegraph described the book as "stimulating and important". Get a used copy for $8; you can't go wrong with this one.
