It probably could be organized a bit more intuitively, but the way the sections are set out does not detract too much from the informative nature of the content. In this format, heavy referencing may not be appropriate, but would be helpful, especially for those that come to this study with an anti-Israeli bias.

Are these misconceptions about the Middle East true or false? . Dig up articles and books by the late journalist Anthony Shadid, known for his innate curiosity and peerless work in the Middle East.

Are these misconceptions about the Middle East true or false? 1. International students should be nervous to study abroad in the Middle East. Countries in the Middle East have a rich diversity of religious and ethnic groups living side by side. Not everybody belongs to the same heritage and this contributes to the interesting mix in the society that is awaiting your discovery. For creative nonfiction, look no further than Nietzche’s Camel Must Die, written by AUB alumna Rewa Zeinati.

There are some misconceptions about travelling in the Middle East - it's . But the sad truth is, crime is everywhere and anywhere

There are some misconceptions about travelling in the Middle East - it's unsafe, it has little to offer, etc. I'm here to challenge those misconceptions. All we hear on the news about the Middle East is usually conflict related, so no wonder you think it’s unsafe. But the sad truth is, crime is everywhere and anywhere. A large amount of Middle Eastern countries actually have extremely low crime rates. Their strict laws drive people away from resorting to criminal activity and are the foundation for keeping crime out of the picture.

The book attempts to fill in the gaps in North American media coverage on the Middle East and correct distortions with historical evidence and quotations from the Arab and Israeli media. Library descriptions. No library descriptions found.

The book tries to dissuade popular misunderstandings about the Catholic faith. Karl Keating has done a good job at taken the most common misconceptions that people have about the Catholic Church and placed it in an easy to find format

The book tries to dissuade popular misunderstandings about the Catholic faith. It is difficult to know who the target audience, but suffice it to say, both Catholics and non-Catholics can profit. I'm not sure why these 52 items where chosen. Karl Keating has done a good job at taken the most common misconceptions that people have about the Catholic Church and placed it in an easy to find format. This book is perfect if you have not studied Catholic Doctrine. It will help you understand Catholics if your Protestant; and if Catholic it will be of aid in helping you answer the most common questions you will be asked by non-Catholics. He starts off with a small quiz in the front of the book.

Another common misconception is that Native Americans were primitive people, and many people view their society as similar to that of a third-world country. This view could not be farther from the truth; the Native Americans had a very advanced society with medicine, trading, farming, and many other things that were common in European culture. They just did things differently, and it is important to understand that different does not necessarily mean primitive

Discussed topics include: Oslo process, September 11, Bin Laden, Arafat, Palestinian violence, Arab terrorism, North American media coverage, suicide bombers, Israeli settlements, refugee return, etc. The book attempts to fill in the gaps in North American media coverage on the Middle East and correct distortions with historical evidence and quotations from the Arab and Israeli media.

This book was solely written from the perspective of the people of Israel. If you want to read about what the US and Israeli government would like you to think then this is the book for you. However if you are looking for a book that includes facts or information about the Arab-Israeli conflict this is not the book for you.
