He apparently has read several books by this author. He originally wanted a hard-back but I got this one not realizing. Great job on a great book!

Tristan Jones was born at sea aboard his father's sailing ship off of the cape of Tristan da Cunha. He joined the Royal Navy at the age of fourteen, and spent his entire life at sea. He sailed a record 400,000 miles during his career with the navy and on a delivery yacht and has gone on several ambitious journeys on his own small ships. No part of this publication may be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic, or mechanical, including photocopy, recording, scanning or any information storage retrieval system, without explicit permission in writing from the Author. This book is a work of fiction.

For his first novel, Jones (The Incredible Voyage) has gone all out, dishing up a boisterously energetic plot that combines a heist caper with a chase adventure, a survival-at-sea saga with a salute to Dunkirk - enough action for two or three movies at least.

Comments:
Wel
as a sailor, I love Tristan's first-hand books about his travels, but this novel is confusing and has too many characters to keep up with. I quit reading halfway through. All his other stuff is great though.

He apparently has read several books by this author. He originally wanted a hard-back but I got this one not realizing. I suggested for him to return it and get one that was but he never did. Must be such a great book that he didn't mind. Great job on a great book!
