A Mexican standoff is a confrontation, among three or more parties, in which no strategy exists that allows any party to achieve victory. Any party initiating aggression might trigger their own demise. At the same time, the parties are unable to extricate themselves from the situation without suffering a loss. As a result, all participants need to maintain the strategic tension, which remains unresolved until some outside event makes it possible to resolve it.

Each sent servants for foor and water, and both stayed firm for several days, until the authorities made both of them back up.

The first in the Chico Cervantes series! Nonstop excitement. An amazing character who is so completely developed and fascinating! Inside look at LA. Reading this you feel like you are walking the streets with Chico, the writer's voice is so strong and engaging. There are three more in this series and they are all equally exciting. I only wish there were more in the series. Amazing books.
