e-Book Girl Fever: 69 Stories of Sudden Sex for Lesbians download

I must admit, it has been about 20 years since I purchased a collection of Erotic stories. "Lesbian Bedtime Stories 2", "Serious Pleasure", "More Serious Pleasure" and "Riding Desire" are all books I still have tucked away safely in my nightstand, not wanting to give them away. Each one contains a collection of approximately 30 stories or poems.

I believe "Girl Fever" would have been better if it didn't focus on achieving the number 69, but settled on a smaller number (40, 50 at the very most). I would have picked the more diverse stories (there are still topics that weren't explored in this collection). Some of the stories in the collection seem truncated; I would have liked to see those ones developed more fully. Also, some of the 'intimate moments' become redundant ... insert 2 fingers, bend slightly, graze thumb over __ while __. Well, you get the picture.:-p

However, there are quite a number of good and great stories with some excellent writing. And here's the key to the ones that stood out- UNIQUENESS. Not all of the stories actually involve sudden sex and not all of the stories have sex in them ... refreshing. I've listed my favorites by the order that they are found in the book and the reason they struck a chord with me : "Answering the Call" - Riding in an ambulance will never be the same for me, instead of wondering who died in this stretcher, I'll be wondering if it ever saw any action. "Love Las Muertas" - The Ghost Train makes for a playful setting and the writing was wonderful. Ah the magic of friction a banister, for example, or the vibrations of a washing machine. "I Do" - It reminded me of my ceremony (the stress), but instead of seducing my other half, I was sewing a button on her blouse. "Ignition Switch" - I just loved the writing on this one and for those that have ever been with a man, it rings true. "Signature" - Ah the euphoria of letting the inner animal out. "An Explanation" - The body may be ill, but the libido or desire for pleasure is well. "Patience" - `Sit on my' the story begins, oh a request I could never turn down and sometimes it is possible to seduce one's shrink. "Born to Ride" - This one made me want to call my brother asking to borrow his bike. "The Virtues of Being Forward" - I think of this as a fantasy every single girl has had. "Here and Back Again" - A reminder that there are still those that feel that they have to hide or aren't brave enough to come into the light. "Pierced" - That's on my `to do' list right after bungee jumping. Not! But I didn't mind reading about it, because I had no idea what the `procedure' involved. "What Next" - Unlike the other 2 stories where a full hand was involved, this one actually made me think that the writer had some knowledge of BDSM. "Cats and Dogs" - Just because you live in a wheelchair doesn't mean that you're not like the rest of us ... like waiting for that `special package', or having a sibling show up at an inopportune moment. "In the Sculpture Garden" - Perfection : Eternity with a marble Venus. "I Wish I Knew You" - Brilliant!

I bought it on Kindle while I was on a drive to Chicago. (Then I discovered there's an audio version!) Sure, I'm all about the long and slow build-up, but the sheer variety of these shorts in style and tone is breath-taking. The writing quality, however, doesn't vary. These are slices of lives, relationships--intense, exciting, sometimes challenging. The only thing I don't like about this book is I don't have a story in it. Sacchi Green (Ed.) always delivers.

Overall review:

Good erotica anthology, with something for most anybody with mainstream tastes. Not all the stories grabbed me, of course - with that many stories in this collection, how could they? - but none of them completely sucked; thankfully, those aforementioned porno scriptesque tales numbered less than six, and this is an admirable anthology, considering how many entertaining works are in it.

Worth purchasing, this.

Standout stories:

1.) "Answering the Call" - Shanna Germain: Two ambulance drivers relieve their boredom by having sex in their work vehicle. Fun romp.

2.) "A Wet P*ssy" - Rachel Kramer Bussel: A dyke further corrupts her relatively inexperienced girlfriend at a bar. Good read.

3.) "An Hour" - Sommer Marsden: Joyous story about two women and their sex-intensive work break.

4.) "Good Morning" - Emily Moreton: Another good work-related sex story. Especially good end-line.

5.) "Oh Captain, My Captain" - Cha Cha White: Two dykes use their orgasms to fuel an alien spacecraft. Fun, imaginative work.

6.) "Love Las Muertas" - Kirsty Logan: A carnival ride inspires a hook-up. Sweet, young-at-heart story.

7.) "Six Minutes or It's Free" - Tigress Healy: Fun, humorous tale about an escort whose otherwise admirable talents may drive her employer out of business.

8.) "Signature" - Jean Roberts: A lesbian (Donna) defines, via sex, what being a lesbian means to her.

9.) "In the Bush" - Debra Anderson: Camping story with a sweet ending.

10.) "Pierced" - Maxine Marsh: A body piercing prompts painsex.

11.) "An Explanation" - Sharon Wachsler: An unexpected sex session creates minor trouble and a funny afterwards.

12.) "Train Whore" - Gemma Parkes: Intense, stream-of-consciousness writing makes this one stand out.

13.) "Femme's the Breaks" - Allison Wonderland: Fun, offbeat BDSM "switch" story.

14.) "When Life is Interesting" - Leigh Wilder: When Robin sees her intermittent, gun-clutching lover (Shel) burst into her apartment, she knows that her day just became memorable.

One of the best, most intriguing tales in this anthology.

15.) "Saucy Cheeks" - Giselle Renarde: Fun, spirited work, with an offbeat finish.

16.) "Last Minute" - Catherine Paulssen: Two friends become lovers at a party. Sweet, engaging.

17.) "Cats and Dogs" - Fran Walker: Laugh out loud funny and creative piece about two lovers, one of them crippled.

18.) "Lure" - Nikki Magennis: Bordering-on-poetic tale of lust and theft.

19.) "Little Miss Goody Two-Shoes" - Lucy Felthouse: A woman convinces her girlfriend that their new garden statue is appropriate.

20.) "Stacked" - Reina Sobin: Comic bookstore lust piece, funny and creative.

21.) "Snowbound" - Sacchi Green: Winter-trapped women, awaiting rescue, "heat" themselves. Imaginative situation/setting.

22.) "Here and Back Again" - Shanna Germain: Two lesbians engage in ferry trysts. Above-average read, ripe for tale expansion.

I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed this collection for a couple reasons. One, its an incredibly diverse grouping of erotic scenarios. Two, there is something for everyone. Whether you are in a committed relationship or just want one hot encounter with the neighbor's visiting relative, you can find it here. And third, erotica at it's best should hot you hot and bothered...this book does just that! There are a couple stories that were abruptly ended, no matter, they were still good. Out of 69 stories only one or two were not to my liking. That's pretty damn good odds if you ask me!

Well worth your money and time.

My sweetheart and I enjoyed listening to these stories together...definitely excellent works of queer erotic hotness, read in a way that would pique one's interests.
I liked the fact that one could select a longer more detailed story, or a quickie story, depending on your mood.
Definitely recommend it! :)

These stories might be short, but they're amazing at kick-starting my imagination on a fun night in ;). Great book to keep in your nightstand!

What I like best about short short collections is that the reader gets a sample of work from many authors he or she may have never heard of before. Try this book if you're looking for new names in lesbian erotica. Then go and explore more writing from your favorite authors in the book!
