I chose this book becuse I am a big fan of Diana Palmer's books and own almost every single one of her books either in hardback or paperback. This is my first e-book and I found it very easy to use and the bookmark made it easy to pick up where I left off. The plot was good and the titile was very appropriate as the nuse was patient in more ways than one.

The Patient Nurse book. Best Silhouette Desire, Harlequin Desire

The Patient Nurse book. Best Silhouette Desire, Harlequin Desire. 102 books - 49 voters. I even checked to make sure the same Diana Palmer wrote this one but yup, seems so. The hero had been an ass to her before the book starts and maybe for the first chapter or so but it is immediately obvious that he is doing it and has always done it because he secretly loved her while married to her now deceased cousin and there is a lot of guilt involved.

Ramon Cortero's patient, Nurse Noreen Kensington, has a serious case of heartache

Ramon Cortero's patient, Nurse Noreen Kensington, has a serious case of heartache. Maybe the only remedy is a dose of old-fashioned tender loving care from the seductive doctor! But Ramon's stormy history with Noreen made him the one man she didn't want rescuing her now that she was ill. When truths about the past are revealed, Ramon is determined to make things right with the woman who's haunted his dreams for so long. But will this patient doctor be able to mend Noreen's broken heart before it's too late? In this series.

But the apartment house had strict rules about pets. None were allowed, period. It was a lovely old Southern home, two story, with antiquated plumbing and peeling paint on the walls. It was a lovely old Southern home, two story, with antiquated plumbing and peeling paint on the walls idents considered it home, and it boasted a small garage maintained just behind it for the residents who drove. Fortunately Noreen and a medical student seemed to be the only people in residence who owned cars. Noreen, however, liked the freedom her car gave her.

Although the underlying passion between Ramon and Noreen was undeniable, Noreen had never been able to reveal her true feelings for the gorgeous surgeon. He'd always blamed her for the death of his wife and it was only when Noreen fell ill that Ramon realized how wrong he'd been...

This is not situated in Jacobsville, Texas like a lot of her books. Dr. Ramon Cortero is a distinguished heart surgeon who bitterly resents Nurse Noreen Kensington who he blames for the death of his beautiful wife Isabella. Isabella & Noreen were cousins ,Noreen lived with Isabella and her wealthy aunt and uncle where she was a virtual slave. She was attracted to the handsome Dr. Cortero from the moment Isabella introduced him to her family. Isabella was a spoiled bitch who taunted Noreen about her feelings for the doctor. I won't soil the book for readers by giving away too much. Read this beautiful love story for yourself!

This one was pretty good, but the thing I didn't like was how long it took for the H to stop thinking about how much he loves his late wife. Considering that the dead wife was a truly horrible person, cheating on him too, I couldn't really like the H much. Any guy who continued to fool his own self like that is just delusional, IMHO. The dead wife was the h's cousin, and she treated the h very poorly. In fact, she lied continually to both the H and the h about each other, because she had seen how they affected each other. The HEA was nice though, and the h, who is the nurse from the book title, was finally happy, so I guess it all worked out. Towards the end of the book, the H actually had the gall to say that he had known the h was the one for him, but he was already married to the cousin. There was never any indication in earlier chapters that he thought that, at all. I don't believe it.

I doubt I would read it again but it was a bit better than average so that's where the 4* rating came from.

The story between Ramon and Noreen is very complicated. Ramon was married to Noreen's cousin, but due to unforeseen circumstances, her cousin passed away and Noreen was blamed for her death. When Noreen's own medical issues come front and center years later, Ramon realizes how wrong he and others have been blaming Noreen for something that wasn't her fault. I don't want to give too much away because it will ruin the story, but I love this story and the characters, and highly recommend it!!

I love this story. The tension builds from the beginning and then the story explodes into channels you did not see coming. The ending is my favorite part. The characters are genuine and human.

This story was a tender story about a nurse that goes through a terrible time and an illness with no support. In fact her supposed family actually makes her feel guilty for something that was not her fault. It was a little unbelievable that the doctor in the story did not recognize her before he completed surgery, but it is a fictional book

If you are looking for a lot of sex, that doesn't really occur until near the end of the book. If however you are looking for a compelling sizzling story with hot chemistry between the protagonists, you have come to the right place. Nurse Noreen was falsely accused of letting her cousin die 2 years ago, when the truth was a lot more scary and secretive- Noreen has a heart condition, and was taken against her will to hospital. Neither her aunt and uncle or Isabella's sexy heart surgeon husband Ramon want to know the truth, until Ramon accidentally operates on Noreen when her heart valve fails!

An okay read. I didn't enjoy the beginning, it was slow and the hero was arrogant and overbearing. Thankfully it got better and the ending was sweet. He was a staunch Catholic and talked about God in his work and life which I didn't mind, but some people might.
