The Provence trilogy book.

Every book of Peter Mayle's I read makes me want to take the trip to Provence even more. For those who have enjoyed Peter Mayle and his benevolent observations of his Provence co habitants, this continues the delicious wallowing in the slow paced but fascinating glimpse into the everyday lives of the Provencals. I thoroughly recommend it to those addicts of french life.

Peter Mayle is back in Provence, after piniong away in America for the sights, sounds and smells of his beloved French home. This new book completes his trilogy on the delights and curiosities of Provencal life, as he rediscovers the local customs and cusine and finds them as enchanting as ever. Written eleven years after A Year in Provence, Encore Provence continues Peter Mayle’s fascination with this delightfully sunny corner of France.

British author Peter Mayle is known for his series of books detailing life in Provence, France. Author Peter Mayle answers that question with wit, warmth, and wicked candor in A Year in Provence, the chronicle of his own foray into Provençal domesticity

Author Peter Mayle answers that question with wit, warmth, and wicked candor in A Year in Provence, the chronicle of his own foray into Provençal domesticity. He describes in loving detail the charming, 200-year-old farmhouse at the base of the Lubéron Mountains, its thick stone walls and well-tended vines, its wine cave and wells, its shade trees and swimming pool-its lack of central heating.
