This book is EXTREMELY helpful. I used the quizzes at the end of each chapter and I felt that it was a great way to review what I read. It also had a list of important words from each chapter (with pages numbers so they were even easier to find) and I made flash cards out of those, there was also a summary of the chapter and I believe it helped me prepare for my midterms. The book is an easy read, not complicated or dense -- full of interesting information. Unfortunately I had to return this book because I found another one for a cheaper price. I paid about $135 for this one and I bought another for $36 (both prices include shipping and handling). I did not realize the other was a different edition until I received it and wished I did not return this book. But it was too late, I got my money back and such, in other words--this book is worth it and amazing!

Awesome! Great shape! If you're wondering if this will work for your psych class instead of the 10 times more expensive 20th edition it most certainly will!

Discovering Psychology

This is a required book for my General Psychology class I am taking in college. It is well written and easy for even the lay person to understand. The different divisions within the chapters make psychology easier to learn from by presenting it in small bits .

I would recommend this book for anyone that is beginning in the psychology field or would like to see if it is something that they would like to do in the future.

Assigned textbook for PSY 101 at Arizona State. Not a terrible read, lot's of anatomy information. A little too boring for my taste, but that's to be expected with a 101 class. Supplemental videos from Dr. Zimbardo were fun and interesting though.

The authors' use of case studies and real-life examples makes this more than a textbook -- and much more readable than one. I found myself excited about reading each chapter. And I know I'll be looking up things in it in the future. My only quibble is that I found many copyediting errors that I hope the publisher will fix for future editions.

The first book I got was not in great shape so I contacted the seller and they gave me the option to receive a refund or get a replacement. I chose the replacement because I need the book for school. They sent it out quickly and they were very helpful and polite, and they are going to reimburse me for the shipping back to them.
I am very happy with the replacement. It is in great condition.

The text book arrived exactly as described, there was some high lighting and the spine was torn near the bottom of the book as detailed. My only concern was the I live OCONUS in Hawaii, so shipping took a lot longer than expected, luckily it arrived three days before my class started. 5 stars for book the book; 4 stars for shipping.

the book is with so many high lights, and looks dirty.
