While I would have bought the fourth edition my professor said that he required this third edition. I am curious as to what things might have been added or changed between editions. Overall i am excited to be getting this and starting my Physical Therapy Assistant program.

I'm taking an intro to Physical Therapy class, this is the required text and I have now read 4 of the chapters. I've found it strangely disorganized. For example, on a section about physical therapy aides the information isn't really about aides, but skirts around the premise that aides are not to perform interventions. Maybe there is confusion in the field about the use of aides as I am still confused after reading this section in the book. Some of the information presented doesn't feel complete and then you read in a later chapter something that helps with clarification. I find myself reading the text two or three times to pull the important information out as it is scattered here and there without a recognizable structure or logical flow of information to the chapters. Some of this may be due to the fact that each chapter is written by a different contributer. Lots of beaurocratic information about the profession which I imagine will be useful, but is difficult to digest.
