This was written for La Notte d'Amore, a ballo put on for the Grand Duke of Tuscany in 1608. All 8 Ballets, used for Florentine stage works were published in Il Primo Libro delle Musiche, Venice 1618. All 8 Ballets have an optional continuo part. I had intended to go through the primary source and put the original figures on a new set of bass parts but will not be able to do this now.
