The other good thing about this book is that it shows what complete sharks people in the music industry tend to be and that there is an ongoing issue of black people being exploited to make money for white people. Anyway it's a fascinating book and one which I really recommend, especially if you don't have much knowledge of modern Black American culture, at least in the big cities. It's easy to read whilst being thouroughly eloquent and could probably even have been a bit longer.
