Excellent resource for nonprofit Executive Directors, Board members and financial/accounting staff. It helps clarify the organizations financial reports, what to look for, what are red flags, and what grantors are looking for.

I never would have thought that I would happily spend an entire plane ride reading a book about finances -- but I did and I loved it. This book does a wonderful job explaining finances in clear language to a general audience. The book is well-designed to give a grants professional the knowledge that they need to understand an organization's finances from reading financial statements to 990's. It really is an excellent book that I highly recommend to anyone who works in the non-profit field.
