Immigrant Ancesters is a most helpful book for genealogists! I had exhausted my resources on this side of the Atlantic. I knew my pedigree lines, obviously, originated in Europe, but from which country was an unknown. The book was most helpful in giving valuable clues as to where to start looking on the other side of the pond.
