I was looking for more practical hands-on tips and lessons. This book did not give a lot of specifics. It clearly gave the author's opinion on what is needed in the classroom, but does not give a lot of details to use in the classroom.

Kecq
Relevant and interesting. More focused on K-12 (not college level) but still useful and valid.

August
This book is well-organized and user-friendly. It includes a broad range of subjects, wherein suggestions are found for teaching literacy in each one.

Qucid
I found this book helpful for entering conversations with teachers in how I could best support them as a literacy coach.

Cerekelv
An excellent book on disciplinary literacy - superb.

Madis
This book really was a waste. It is such an important topic and I had high hopes based on the title, but the editor and authors really disappointed me. It was not helpful at all. If you are thinking of buying it, don't.
