Book of Obadiah, the fourth of 12 Old Testament books that bear the names of the Minor Prophets, in the Jewish canon treated as one book, The Twelve. Obadiah, with only one chapter consisting of 21 verses, is the shortest of all Old Testament books and purports to be a record of the vision of.

The Book of Amos is the third of the Twelve Minor Prophets in the Tanakh/Old Testament and the second in the Greek Septuagint tradition. Amos, an older contemporary of Hosea and Isaiah, was active c. 750 BC during the reign of Jeroboam II (788–747 BC), making Amos the first prophetic book of the Bible to be written. Amos lived in the kingdom of Judah but preached in the northern kingdom of Israel. His major themes of social justice, God's omnipotence, and divine judgment became staples of prophecy.

This volume provides an index to the journal articles, essays in collected works, books and monographs, dissertations, commentaries, and various encyclopaedia and dictionary articles published on the Old Testament books of Amos and Obadiah in the 20th century. Technical works of scholarship, from many differing traditions, constitute the bulk of the citations, though some selected works that reinterpret the research to a wider audience have been included.

Resource "lite"--helps where I needed it.

If you want to find a soild but not too depth. This is a good choice. This serious many like a notebook more than a commentray.
But this one is really readable than other.
John E. Hartley do the great job to shorter the detail and depth commentaries in a short commentary but not loss the critical point of view in this new commentary,
If you consider the content and price. this up to date content worth than the price.

SmEsH
This is an excellent discussion of introductory issues to the book of Genesis.
I love it.

Contancia
Hartley is an outstanding OT theologian/commentator. This commentary should not be compared to the heavy hitters (e.g. NICOT: Hamilton; Word: Wenham) but considering its size it is well worth the money. Pastors and teachers should find it very useful.
