I was required to buy this book for my intro. to biology course at a university. I don't usually write reviews on books I buy for school, but honestly, I haven't had a book be more helpful! It takes you step by step on writing up a lab report. It goes into great detail on each section, tells you how to do a proper presentation/poster, and even gives you a "good" example of a biology lab report. It's also written in a way that anyone could understand. This could be used for any subject really - biology, psychology, chemistry, etc. It's a really helpful resource to have.

I have a writing background, but not in science. When it was required for me to buy this book, I was very pleased with the information inside. This books shows you how to properly write a science paper and how to accurately cite and document sources. This book also shows you how to properly utilize graphs and charts to make a professional science report.

This is book is a must and a keep for any student. I would advise anyone who has to buy this book to keep it instead of selling it back at the end of the semester.

This book was required for one class I'm taking which requires me to write a lab report each week--but I wish I had known about it when I started my college career. It is so helpful and easy to read and understand, this is a book you will be able to use for the rest of your life (especially if you choose to stay in the field of science/science research). I recommend this to any Biology major--or even someone taking some higher level bio classes in high school.

Actually, not a bad little supplement. It really could be complimented with Rules for Writers by Diane Hacker. I see so many people wander through science academic writing having a hard time when really, it's all about a few fundamentals that should have been covered in lower level classes. This is a pretty good guide, and a lot of times, all you'll need.

It is a textbook. I already knew most of the content due to repeated science exposure.

This handbook is really great if you have to write lab reports. It goes step-by-step through the whole process of your experiment and writing your report. It has some great things that help you get it done in time, like timelines on when to have different sections of the report competed. It's really good to have, especially if you haven't written reports before.

This book was required for an Ecology class but I'm glad it was because it has helped tremendously with Lab Reports, Field Summaries, and other scientific papers. Now that the class is over I technically don't need it anymore but I will be sure to hold on to this for future reference.

Good quality book, thank you.
