I figured starting this road trip off with a place that is known as a haunted town-like Salem, MA-would be a good idea. If this road trip is taken during the fall months, Salem will be the perfect starting point. The town becomes a celebration of all things haunted and spooky during fall, which perfectly sets the scene for a haunted road trip. Though the town is famous for witches and halloween celebrations, it is also rich in history and some of it is quite dark. She has been seen on the road connected to the cemetery and floating among the gravestones.

I purchased this book at Mansfield Reformatory here in Ohio. At first I got it just to have something to read, but as I read it through I found it to be a good resource of places to investigate and of course there are some good eateries in there too, that is if you do not mind dining with a ghost or two. The book is sound in the history and research, although more detail could be added. As a paranormal investigator, I am pleased with it. It tells you just enough information and allows you to draw your own conclusions. I highly recommend this book for those of us who are in Ohio and as well as those who travel to do paranormal investigations. It is definitely a must have for any paranormal collection.....and that is why I have it.

Once again Mr. Kachuba has written a book that you find yourself not wanting to put down. Anyone interested in ghost hunting and/or stories of events that happened to REAL people at different locations, this is the book to read (and his other books too). It is filled with fascinating accounts of haunted places in Ohio. Mr. Kachuba gives you a brief history of each location, which I find very interesting . He shares experiences that real people have witnessed and his own experiences while at the locations.
It held my interest from cover to cover. It's the author's writing style that makes it so interesting! He creates such vivid images that you feel you are there with him. You also get to experience Mr. Kachuba's wonderful sense of humor in the mist of some of his spine chilling stories. Could it be our own desires and wishes that WE could experience such bone chilling experiences that makes his books so interesting? If you can't be there in person... this is the next best thing! All the information you need to plan your own trip to any of these locations is provided. Fabulous job, Mr. Kachuba!

can't really write a review because it was a gift. Person I gave it to loves anything haunting. She did know the author.

John Kachuba has uncovered some more of Ohio's greatest haunted hot spots! Some are historical and iconic, some are newly discovered and surprising. Reading the book is like spending a fun filled weekend with the author and his friends, as you travel through some of the most interesting places in Ohio. The tone is welcoming and relaxed, yet still wonderfully exciting, as you discovery these paranormal treasures together! This book is great for the serious investigator, the arm chair ghost hunter or just anyone who enjoys a good ghost story! John sure knows how to spin a yarn!
