A Journey Forgotten, by author Emily Noll, follows writer Connor Anderson who is plagued by a bad case of writer's block. When Connor takes a serious fall during an innocent encounter with a leggy prospect, he finds himself shifting between his hospital bed and a spaceship where everyone calls him Captain. Trying to reconcile the two worlds, his sense of self, and which life is really his, Connor is forced to step into his Captain role as he and his crew discovers an apocalyptic danger that threatens the existence of literally everything.

Which world is his world and which life will win out is anyone's guess, least of all Conner's, but one thing is clear, writer's block is the least of his problems. Told with wit and humor and written in masterful prose, A Journey Forgotten will keep you guessing while it entertains every step of the way. Noll has written a book in the best tradition of space-opera sci-fi. This is a book that will not only interest science fiction fans, but also anyone who loves a great adventure well-told.

I have read all of Emily Noll's books. This by far is her best yet. Her creativity is very unique. She has such an imagination, she takes you to a new dimension of story telling. So, is this a dream, or reality? You decide. Prepare to be surprised, and in a continuous state of wonderment. Emily Noll is definitely a gifted author. I am excited to see what she writes in her next book. Can't wait! A Journey Forgotten

Conner Anderson is a writer who has always been lucky to be able to easily put his stories down on paper. That is until he was under contract to write his 4th novel and came down with a serious case of writer's block. While trying to clear his head and find inspiration, Conner has an accident that puts him in the hospital. When Conner wakes up, he finds himself in a metallic room - aboard a spaceship. He discovers he is a Captain of a ship that was destroyed and he and his surviving crew members were rescued. Conner struggles with his new identity - or is it his "real" identity and being an author is just a dream? Trying to find himself leads him on his most important mission... takin on his role of captain to discover what the threat was that destroyed his ship on his last voyage.

What a delightful read!! I had a difficult time putting it down as I really wanted to figure out what was real and what was just a dream. I figured it all out, or so I thought, until the end.... OHHHHH!!! I never would have guessed the ending! I absolutely loved the storyline and the ending far from let me down. An excellent read for anyone who loves a good adventure.

Emily Noll's A Journey Forgotten is a splendid rendition of classic sci-fi with a new twist. It has everything you'd expect in any decent space opera; space ships, galactic cataclysms, beautiful girls... what more could you need?

The story captivated me right away and the protagonist was someone I could definitely relate to. His trials seemed my own and at the end, I felt the same relief he did.

If that's not good writing, I don't know what is.

I recommend this book heartily, and look forward to more titles from this up and coming author.

I have read all of Emily's books and find them very entertaining. The themes that she comes up with are so imaginative that throughout the book I am constantly thinking 'where does she come up with this' !! I find them very engaging. Keep it up Emily!
