purchased for my mother and sister after my grandma died and they were struggling with coping. they absolutely loved it and it helped them through a lot. i myself did not read it, but they have been recommending it to their friends who have also lost someone.

I recently lost my wife of 23 years. I am very grateful for and appreciative of those 23 years with her. That approach helps me cope with my loss. But I also have a lot of questions, most of which fall into the general category of "Where do I go from here?" This book doesn't necessarily answer those questions; the questions don't have universal answers. But it does suggest approaches that are helpful in dealing with such questions, and it reassures me that my questions are "normal." It's not a textbook. That's not what I would want now. It's more like a conversation with a helpful person, which I would think many folks in my situation would appreciate.

This book has been a great resource for several of my dear friends walking through the grieving process. Both have commented on how much this book has helped them.

I have ordered several copies to give to others who have lost a loved one. This book was the most helpful one that I read after the sudden loss of my husband. It shows the Christian viewpoint as well as the mental health view. I highly recommend this book for anyone dealing with the loss of a spouse or close family member. It clearly outlines the options available for coping with the huge loss and void in your life.

We never know how we'll react to grief. Rather than listening to others giving you a timeline to "just get over it," this book provides alternatives to handling grief.

This book provides excellent secular and spiritual information to assist you in your grief journey. I have been able to use it to create an interactive grief curriculum that I use along with the book and people are making amazing progress in establishing a healthy grief journey.
