There are many people that do not let details of gender, age and race determine who they are compatible with or attracted to. There are many people that choose to marry someone of a different race. This is something that is becoming increasingly more common and accepted within current culture. Those in an interracial relationship have a difficult time seeing any downside and those on the outside sometimes have a difficult time seeing the advantages.

I enjoyed this book a great deal. Mrs. Moore's message of RECIPROCITY is one that is often ignored or simply unheard of when it comes to Black women. Many Black women actually believe that their role is to sacrifice self, from cradle to grave. These women have never known that it is reasonable (in fact, normal) to expect something in return for your time and effort. This is not about avoiding charity and good deeds: this is about exhausting all of your resources, giving endlessly to thankless, destructive parasites. Those parasites have left BW financially depleted, physically drained, and mentally exhausted.

Well, this book makes it clear: you DO NOT have to be a mule! Reciprocity is a normal expectation, and no individual has to tolerate being a "support" for everyone but receiving no "support" in return. This message needs to be drummed into the heads of all BW that don't yet "get it."

My favorite chapter in the book isthe one about hair-ism and colorism, from a White man's perspective. Very enlightening, for women that have limited exposure to healthy, well-adjusted WM. If you've been raised in a predominantly Black environment, and have had limited exposure to White people, these essays will be eye-opening for you. Also be sure to check out the chapters regarding the hoaxes used against BW. Again, very informative.

I highly recommend this book!

The book is good solid advice for women looking to date quality men. It is common sense. What is most impressive is that the one recurring commenter (Hi Andrew) for every book this author produces takes the time to write a negative review and a different one each time. Lots of energy and time devoted to something if you believe the reviews he despises; moreover he follows this author around the Internet and blog-o-sphere just to express his displeasure. Imagine if he really liked this person such a wealth of energy expended. If this book can make a man who claims to dislike this author and everything she represents to expend this much energy, time and attention- she has got something going on. It is worth buying the book or the others she has written just to see what the is secret to creating that level of enchantment exhibited by this "fanatical commenter". Makes a person wonder
