Re-Making Love: The Femin. Great book about the sexual revolution that began in the late 1950s/early 1960s and the role feminism and gay rights play in the creation and understanding of that revolution. A lot of excellent history here, as the authors take us through the decades to the mid-1980s concerning America's changing viewpoints on sex. I read this book because I love Barbara Ehrenreich's work; I think she is absolutely brilliant. 2 people found this helpful.

Re-Making Love is an attempt at setting the record straight while reflecting upon where this revolution has taken women and where it will lead. From the clinical sex manuals of the 1950's to Helen Gurley Brown's Sex and the Single Girl and The Joy of Sex, the authors offer an intelligent chronicle of women's sexual repressions, struggles and triumphs. Ironically, the authors cite Brown-""a woman whom many feminists would be loath to claim as one of their own""-as the first spokeswoman for the revolution
