The Whaling Museum is one of the main attractions on Nantucket especially in the colder months when there are less outdoor activities. We were there during the Festival of Trees which complemented the museum nicely. Lots of good information about whaling on Nantucket and the island itself. From farming and fishing to the lucrative yet dangerous profession of whaling, the museum does a great job displaying all the historical assets they have accumulated over the years. It's pretty impressive to see a sperm whale's jaw bone that takes up a whole wall, to an intact skeleton of a whale hanging from the rafters.
