The Plague (French: La Peste) is a novel by Albert Camus, published in 1947, that tells the story of a plague sweeping the French Algerian city of Oran. It asks a number of questions relating to the nature of destiny and the human condition. The characters in the book, ranging from doctors to vacationers to fugitives, all help to show the effects the plague has on a populace.

Monsters in Our Midst book. In this case, that's absolutely true. Quite a frightening book, in that these killers and crazies could (and probably do) very well exist, and you'd never know it any better than their victims would.

A Werewolf in our Midst. Yep, sending four cars and eight officers. His problems didn’t end there. The horrific events that plagued his town also jeopardized his reelection

A Werewolf in our Midst. A creature defined neither as man nor beast crashed through the brush, sending nocturnal animals scurrying for cover. We’ll be doubling our shift Friday through Sunday on nights. You think something’s going to happen again? Barbe got up from the table and grabbed a doughnut. The horrific events that plagued his town also jeopardized his reelection. What was left of his family life was not much better. His son had been growing further away from him.

Book Condition: A book of this grade is in acceptable shape to read and store. Definitely content are intact. Generally sturdy spine with all pages intact physically. The occurrence of YF epidemics in Europe (perhaps even dating back to the mid 500's) is not discussed, which is forgivable given the focus of the book, though the fact that 300,000 people perished from YF in Spain in the 1800's makes it clear that YF was (is) a scourge far beyond America's shores.

Strangers in Our Midst. The Political Philosophy of Immigration. by David Miller Miller.

There is a deadly plague in our midst. Some call it AIDS. Others more accurately cite the cause of AIDS: rampant sexual promiscuity. Here is a book written for the family, for people who need to teach their children Biblical principles for proper sexuality. This is a book for parents of teens, too - parents who know sexual experimentation today can carry a death sentence. "Dr. Albers has written a book pointing out that . . the families of America have been influenced by humanism, secularism and unchecked sexual abuse. Dr. Albers suggests the answer is with the family properly teaching children about human sexuality. When this is done, sex will assume its proper role within the family and the nation. I would like every parent in America to read this book and follow its guidelines." -Dr. Jerry Falwell Author Gregg R. Albers, M.D., recently was asked to testify before a congressional subcommittee about the seriousness of the AIDS epidemic and what needs to be done legislatively. He is director of health services at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. On a recent evangelistic trip to Africa, he had the opportunity to minister to those suffering from the rampant AIDS plague there - and to view its devastating effects first hand. His is a message of warning.
